Reinsurance and Insurance Executive

Steven Spano, President of Assicurazioni Generali UK Branch, is a business expert who has gained broad experience working with global insurance and reinsurance industry leaders.  Throughout his career, he has focused on creating and implementing business strategies, building robust operating platforms and managing risk.

The Generali UK Branch provides strategic risk and insurance solutions to large corporate and multinational enterprises, offering integrated solutions in property, casualty, engineering, aviation, marine, group life, disability, and healthcare.

The branch’s discontinued operations manage legacy portfolios of both life and non-life insurance liabilities.

Prior to his appointment as Generali’s UK Branch President, Steven served as the branch’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer.  Before
joining Generali, he held senior roles in the reinsurance and Lloyd's operations of the St. Paul Companies' (now Travelers), including Chief Financial Officer of London-based St. Paul at Lloyds and Senior Vice President - Finance at St. Paul Re in New York.

Steven holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame, Mendoza College of Business in South Bend, Indiana, USA.
